A Lifelong Fascination With Tiny Worlds
My fascination with scale worlds began long before I knew terms like experience design, environmental storytelling, or user experience.
As a child, my parents nurtured this curiosity from two different angles. My mother, a fine artist with a background in floral design and painting, filled our home with resources and encouraged me to experiment with every medium I could get my hands on. My father, a retired landscape architect, taught me how to translate imagination into structure, encouraging me to learn Computer Aided Design (CAD) and practical building techniques.
Together, we built scale models of dream amusement parks, dollhouses, and miniature environments using balsa wood, paint, and endless imagination. That curiosity eventually expanded into a career spanning user experience design, live events, themed environments, virtual worlds, creative production, and community building.
Today, I continue exploring the same questions through a different lens:
- Why do some places feel magical?
- How do tiny details shape emotional experiences?
- What transforms a collection of objects into a believable world?
Pearl’s Scale Worlds is where those interests come together—a living creative studio where things are actively being made, documented, and shared.
