Sometimes the only way to get a paper good that actually looks like paper — rather than a cardboard slab — is to design and print it yourself. So I've started putting my own perfectly scaled versions up on Gumroad for the community.

Free Playing Card Printables

My free playing card printable is available now on Gumroad. They are based off real historical cards! One set is from Ireland in the 1910s (art nouveau period). The other is a set from England that spans the 1900s and earlier (Victorian era). I put them all together in Photoshop and created matching boxes based on other photo sources plus some hand-edited wizardry. It's free for you to download, print, and use in your own scenes.

Other Goodies

A couple more paper goods are in the works:

  • Holiday cards — perfectly scaled so they read like actual paper instead of floor tiles.
  • Historical signage — period-appropriate shop signs for your sandwich boards, lamp posts and
  • Ephemera sheet music and other bits of paper history for your scenes.

More on those soon.
